Small but Wicked – Abarth and the International Moth.

In September 2010, Simon Payne became an Abarth Brand Ambassador. 2010 was a busy and successful year for Simon. He won the World, European and UK national championships in the International Moth sailing dinghy.

The Moth is not just any sailboat. The hull flies out of the water on high-tech wings which help the boat reach incredible speeds. This is a sport that definitely lives up to the Abarth motto – small but wicked.

In January 2011, Simon – backed by Abarth – will defend his Moth World Championship in Belmont Australia. The competition will be tough. But you can hear Simon’s thoughts here.

As an Abarth Brand Ambassador, Simon drives an Abarth Punto Evo. His Moth, which is made almost entirely of carbon fibre is transported on the roof of the car.
